After graduating from Wake Forest University, Chris Dickerson completed the prestigious Chef’s Apprenticeship Program at the Five-Star Cloister Hotel, earning the distinction of graduating at the top of his class with one of the highest proficiency scores in American Culinary Federation history. His exceptional skills led him to cook at The Little Nell and join the opening team of Matsuhisa Aspen, one of the world’s most celebrated culinary institutions.

Chris’s expertise has earned him invitations to cook at exclusive five-star culinary festivals, including Music to Your MouthSouthern Grown, and the 30A Wine Festival. His distinguished career also includes having cooked for presidents, celebrities, and Grammy-winning artists at their recording studio. In a highlight, Chris was invited to cook for legendary French chef Paul Bocuse as part of a select team. His achievements gained further attention when Chase Bank featured him in a regional Super Bowl commercial profiling iconic Southeastern businesses.

In 2017, Chris relocated to Savannah, Georgia, to help raise his newborn son. He founded Squirrel’s Pizza, building on the success of his acclaimed Florida restaurant, Corner Taco. More recently, Chris has expanded his culinary services to include luxury personal chef experiences in the Lowcountry, creating unforgettable dining moments tailored to his clients’ preferences.

As a classically trained chef, Chris excels in a variety of cuisines, including MexicanAsianSpanish, and Italian. He also specializes in VegetarianVeganGluten-FreeSoul FoodSeafoodBBQLow Country Boils, and Live Fire cooking. His Level I certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers further enhances his offerings, enabling him to deliver elevated, wine-paired dining experiences that redefine luxury.

Chris leveraged his expertise to manage up to three restaurants across two states without being physically present or employing General Managers. His innovative strategies allowed his businesses to navigate the pandemic without layoffs. Remarkably, one restaurant achieved a record year in 2020, following a record year in 2019. Additionally, Yelp recognized one of his restaurants as one of the top 100 businesses in North America.
